5 beaches to explore during New Zealand's summer

1. Cape Reinga, Northland

2. Abel Tasman National Park, South Island

3. Cathedral Cove, Coromandel Peninsula

The majestic natural rock archway, turquoise waters, golden sands, and towering rock stacks make Cathedral Cove a true icon of the Coromandel coastline.

In the surrounding waters, swimmers, snorkelers, and divers can explore colourful sponge gardens, thriving reef systems, and diverse marine life beneath the surface.

4. Hokitika Beach, West Coast

'Typical beach' doesn't come to mind when describing Hokitika Beach. Considered more untamed, Hokitika Beach on the West Coast is stunning for sunsets & sunrises, starry nights, and slow beach walks - where if you're lucky, you might find a piece of pounamu-jade (greenstone) hidden amongst the black sand.
