A glimpse into Classic Fighters 2025

Easter 2025 is fast approaching which means the Classic Fighters Airshow is just around the corner! If you’re contemplating on purcashing a ticket, a look below at a couple of the fantastic aircraft featuring this year may persuade you…

If any aircraft embodies the 'Putting on the Ritz' theme for the 2025 Easter's Airshow, it's the Beech 17 Staggerwing. Renowned for its speed, comfort, and luxurious design, it was once considered the Learjet of its time. One of the most remarkable examples is VH-UXP, a stunning machine owned by Cam and Tracey Hawley. The excitement is palpable to welcome them back to Classic Fighters in 2025!

A passion for WW1 classic aircraft has always made Classic Fighters Omaka unique. There’s something truly captivating about the Nieuport Scouts, despite their ‘eccentricity’, so the next move is to add rockets, of course! And what's better than one? Four! On Easter 2025, two of them, including the one pictured below, will take to the skies, while the other two will be on display in the museum.

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX, PV 270, is a beloved and iconic aircraft at Omaka. It first graced the skies at Classic Fighters in 2009 and is set to soar again during the Easter 2025 airshow! It will be joined in the skies by the P-51D Mustang and the Avenger. It’s a lineup you won’t want to miss!

Recently added to the Classic Fighters 2025 lineup is the Yakovlev Yak-3U 'STEADFAST'. Built in Romania during the 2000s, this speed machine holds nine world records, with the distinctive roar of the radial engines never getting old.

Also recently added to the lineup is the South African Harvard. This brightly coloured machine is the airfield's resident example of the iconic WWII trainer. An absolute joy to watch!
