The Southernmost city of the South Island, Invercargill, is a lively and interesting city, with charming old-world character.
Equipped with a wonderful range of restaurants, bars and boutique shopping, it is a visitor’s paradise! Wander through the Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco buildings that exude architectural beauty, and meet the friendly locals.
As well as the old-world architecture, you’re guaranteed to stumble across beautiful street art. An hours meander through the city will suffice to see all the bright, colourful murals in close proximity to one another, bringing the streets to life through different masterpieces.

Anything with wheels is certainly welcomed in Invercargill, with the city being home to the vintage truck collection - Bill Richardson Transport World. A world-class experience, featuring a collection of vintage vehicles who the man himself, Bill Richardson, spent decades restoring. Visitors find memories are often evoked when walking through the museum, as the machinery reflects moments in history.

Another Invercargill favourite is the Classic Motorcycle Mecca. Housing New Zealand’s most diverse motorcycle collection, with more than 300 classic bikes hailing from all over the world, including tributes to greats like Kiwi speedway icon Ivan Mauger and Invercargill legend Burt Munro.
